Course Description: The Cleveland Museum of Art brings the world to your doorstep. Its collections and staff make connections to classroom studies. Theme tours focus on cultural achievements from the ancient world to the present. The museum is currently undergoing a $258 million renovation and expansion project. Visitors can enjoy the Barcelona & Modernity Exhibit featuring: Gaudi, Picasso, and Dali from October 15th 2006 through January 7, 2007

Course Description: Various projects and programs are offered, including: Brick City, which gives children and youth in public housing developments instruction in the theater arts; Student Theatre Enrichment Program (STEP), which offers low-income Cleveland high school students paid wages to experience the art of theater; Cleveland Act Now! (CAN!) which provides arts education in economically disadvantaged schools; Y-Haven Project, where CPT artists work to create a production with formally homeless residents; and Elyria-Y, which serves women in a traditional housing center.

Course Description:
Students also have the opportunity to speak with the actors after each performance, or go on a guided tour of the 300,000 square foot production complex. Professional study guides are created and distributed to teachers to help students gain a greater understanding of the play.
Children's Theatre Student Matinees (Gr. K-7)
Elementary schools are offered a season of new works and classic folk tales in the Brooks and Studio One theatres. Current Children's Theatre Student Matinee productions include: Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, The Wind in the Willows, and Charlotte's Web
Mainstage Student Matinees (Gr. 7-12)
Middle and senior high school students attend special morning matinees of the same Mainstage productions enjoyed by adult patrons.

Course Description:
The Idea Center at Playhouse Square opened in September 2005 as a premier arts education facility to link practices in arts education with the country's most exciting artists. Classes and workshops have been designed to expand the arts experience of teens that have an interest in a creative way to approach learning.

Bring a group of 20 or more students to see an evening Broadway show, and they will create a unique workshop just for your class! These workshops will enable your students to explore the performing arts as they relate to the show they have just seen, or are about to see. Students will gain insight into what makes a particular show a success. Come early and join them for a pizza party. Pre-and-post show discussions for Broadway Series Shows are free.

Course Description:
School programs are designed with Ohio's Competency-Based Curricula in mind. Students will learn number sense measurement, data analysis, how to make choices as a consumer, and globalization. They can learn about immigration, their families ethnic heritage, and the practices and products of each culture at the From there to Here Museum Program, or solve real life math problems based on scale, time, distance, data analysis, and graphing at several different programs. The Science based programs will teach students about force, motion, energy, and electricity. Over 30 exhibits, and computer interactives. Grades 4 and up welcome.

History of the Civil War and the brief presidency of James A. Garfield. Students find out What's Behind that Door in the new program offered in which students are taken to the seldom seen rooms and spaces of the national historic site. In the 3 part program: We the People, students will examine both the role of government and the and citizenship rights and responsibilities through the life and times of President Garfield. Front Porch Math is a program in which students will use the history of President Garfield and his family as real-world context for math applications. Several other programs emphasizing: Government, American History, Civil War, and Math are offered.
