After a career in journalism and communications, co-owner Cindy Barber decided it was time to do something a little different. So, she headed to the Waterloo district and purchased the empty Croatian Liberty Home, a social center for the large Slavic community in the area, and transformed it into the Beachland Ballroom. While the space has remained largely the same with original design elements, signage and images from the 1950's, the venue has become one of Cleveland's most diverse live music venues. Guests can enjoy a delicious, all-American meal while being serenaded by an awesome artist/band.

Owner Kathy Simkoff Blackman has established herself in a male-dominated field, and earned extensive recognition for her efforts in the industry, including an award from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum for her achievements in music and was named one of the Top 10 Women Business Owners by the Cleveland chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners. The laid-back atmosphere features one of the best places in the region to see big bands at a little price tag.
