1. We'll Leave A Leg Lamp On For You: A Christmas Story House And Museum

The restored house where some of the 1983 cult classic movie was filmed displays everything from Randy’s snowsuit to the chalkboard from Miss Shields’ classroom and its gift shop features everything A Christmas Story including the Yahtzee board game, replicas of the Aunt Clara bunny costume and, of course, the "Major Award" Leg Lamp. Since it opened two and a half years ago, more than 100,000 movie fans have toured the museum. As can be expected, things pick up for the themed attraction during the holiday season. “Thanksgiving through New Year’s is our busiest time,” explains curator Steve Siedlecki. “We’ll see from 1500 to 2000 people on a single day.
